Stating that Rymir Satterthwaite made “fabricated allegations,” Jay-Z has hit back at a man claiming to be his son and has asking a federal judge to formally intervene.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the superstar rapper (born Shawn Carter) called the recent federal lawsuit brought by Rymir Satterthwaite “just the latest” in Satterthwaite and his godmother’s “decades-long harassment”. “The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected – in multiple other courts, and continued harassment and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order.”
Accusing the music mogul of attempting to keep him silent about his paternity, the now 32-year old Satterthwaite filed a federal lawsuit against Jay-Z on May 6.
In his claims Rymir stated that his mother, Wanda, had relations with Jay-Z in the 1990s. Following her death, he was cared for by his godmother, who has faced “unrelenting efforts by (Jay-Z) and his enablers to suppress the truth and silence those who dared to speak it”.
Insisting that we doesn’t want fame or fortune, but simply the truth, Satterthwaite alleges Jay-Z has refused to take a paternity test or respond to his claims directly.
“Why can’t he prove me wrong?” he asked the Daily Mail in December. “Go to the courtroom and do what everyone else has to do. I can take a no. I can take being embarrassed. I just can’t take him not saying anything. It is not fair.”
