On February 3, Jennifer Lopez returned to Saturday Night Live to perform two songs from her forthcoming full length, This Is Me…Now.
Lopez last appeared on SNL as host in 2019 after her musical guest stint on the late night show back in 2010, and was joined on stage this past weekend by rappers Latto and Redman.
This Is Me…Now is Lopez’s sequel album to 2002’s This Is Me…Then and a press release described it as chronicling “the emotional, spiritual and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades.” J-Lo adding that her marriage to Ben Affleck – who she was dating while writing songs for her 2002 album – helped support the creative process.
Lopez’s second song of the night was the title track for This Is Me…Now, and the album’s release will coincide with a film of the same name.
Prior to her current release, Jennifer’s most recent musical production was with fellow Latin superstar singer/songwriter Maluma for the soundtrack to her 2022 rom-com Marry Me, in which they both starred. Her last studio album was 2014’s A.K.A.
