Several weeks after their whirlwind Vegas nuptials, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have tied the knot in a second (private) wedding party on the groom’s Riceboro, Georgia estate.
Two decades after they first met and started dating in the early 2000s, and announced their engagement the following year, Lopez and Affleck reunited in April 202 and in July, the celebrity wed in a midnight ceremony at a Vegas wedding chapel, accompanied by Lopez’s mother and her 14-year-old twins, Max and Emme Muñiz.
Following the mid-summer ceremony, the dynamic movie star/singer due enjoyed a romantic honeymoon / family vacation in Paris with their blended family—Lopez’s twins, whom she shares with singer Marc Anthony, and Affleck’s children with Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.
J-Lo took to her fan newsletter to share details of her July nuptials including photos from the evening and her new legal name, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck. The first ceremony also included sweet nods to the couple’s decades-long relationship, with the bride wearing the same dress she wore on the poster for Jersey Girl, the 2004 movie she starred in with Affleck.
“So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” Lopez wrote. “They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.”
