Commenting on whether he’s the viral UK rapper EsDeeKid, given Timothée Chalamet‘s prior lyric spitting moniker Lil Timmy Tim, a close-up of the mystery artist’s eyes similarity to that of the famous actor is enough to link him to the musician.
When asked if the rumors are true, during his recent appearance on Heart FM, the superstar thespian coyly replied: “I’ve got no comment on that” then said “I got two words on that…” teasing “all will be revealed in due time”.
The whspers began after EsDeeKid dropped his debut album, Rebel, in June, when he covered his face with a balaclava and did not disclosed his name or age, just that he hails from Liverpool and still lives in a council house. The rappers songs have racked up millions of streams, with the track ‘Phantom” featuring Rico Ace listened to 90,000,000+ times on Spotify. Rebel peaked at #16 in the Official UK Albums Chart.
EsDeeKid is slated to embark on a tour of North American and Australia in 2026, and will also perform in London at Outbreak Fest 2026.
Currently, Chalamet has Dune: Part Three (Dune: Messiah) due out next year, and is also attached to James Mangold’s High Side, where he portrays a MotoGP racer, thus it remains to be seen whether or not his filming schedule is free enough to play the above shows.
In recognition of his acclaimed performance in Marty Supreme, Timothée will receive the Spotlight Actor of the Year Award at the upcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival, presented during the festival’s prestigious Film Awards ceremony on January 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Describing it as a career-defining achievement, Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi praised Chalamet’s work in Marty Supreme, stating:
