Harry Styles Unhappy With Impersonation

Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman, who’s perhaps best known for her comedic impersonations, recently revealed that her take on Harry Styles did not go down well with the musician.

During Sunday’s red carpet appearance prior to the SNL50: The Anniversary Special, Fineman talked to presenter Amelia Dimoldenberg about impersonating the UK pop star when he hosted SNL in 2019, saying:

“Harry Styles is really bad.” “I did it and he was like at the table and was so devastated by how bad it was.” Yet, despite the incident, the former member of One Direction returned to the show as a musical guest several times since hosting.

Hardly her only impression, Chloe’s performed a number of notable impersonations, including A-lister Britney Spears, Jennifer Coolidge, Drew Barrymore and, more recently, Timothée Chalamet. However, the comedy star explained why she opted not to impersonate the recent Bob Dylan portrayed when he served as the host and musical guest in late January.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 36-year old Fineman stated:

“I’ve been saying, I feel like I’ve done it twice already this year without him.” “I think that now we know each other, it’s sort of embarrassing.” “I feel like this weird older woman, being like, ‘Hey little boy, can I put your sweatpants on?’ ‘Cause I’ve worn his – sometimes I’ll wear his real clothes doing it, which was really fun.”
