Harry Styles Spotted During Pope Confirmation

As the new Pope was confirmed on Thursday (5.08,) Harry Styles was spotted within the Vatican City crowd.

While Pope Leo XIV was announced as the new leader of the Catholic Church, the former One Direction singer was among the throngs of spectators who gathered in St Peter’s Square in Vatican City, Rome.

Donning a grey cap emblazoned with the words “techno is my boyfriend”, a navy jacket and large black sunglasses, Styles was photographed keeping a low profile as he watched the first American to be named Pope. And despite his best efforts to remain incognito, the superstar singer/songwriter was recognized by a number of fans, who took to social media to share photos of him in the crowd.

One Styles admirer took to X with “Of course Harry Styles was in Rome waiting for the new Pope to be announced. Where else would he be,” and another penned, “Harry Styles is so random, one day he’s at the grammys winning album of the year, then he’s running a marathon in japan, but he could also be in rome waiting for the announcement of the new pope, i love being his fan (sic).”

Known to the world as Pope Leo XIV, Robert Francis Prevost is the new leader of the Catholic Church following the death of Pope Francis, who died on April 21 aged 88 following his 12 year reign.
