From the department of redundancy department, it appears as if Harry Styles was struck in the eye by an unknown object during his Saturday (7.08) concert in Vienna,
Just the latest artist in an escalating trend of performers getting pelted onstage during live shows, in a video shared by Pop Crave, the superstar singer/songwriter is seen wincing before holding his head in his hand after a small object hit him in the face.
Not the first time the multi-Grammy Award winning musician has been assaulted on stage, in November 2022 the former One Direction member was hit hit in the eye after a fan tossed Skittles at him.
Styles is just one of several artists struck recently during their concerts due to reckless and unhinged behavior from fans. Last month, Bebe Rexha had to get stitches after a concertgoer threw his phone at her. Days later during a show in Los Angeles, Ava Max got slapped in the face after an attendee rushed to the stage, and a fan appeared to have thrown their mother’s ashes at Pink during her recent London gig just days later, Kelsea Ballerini got hit in the eye by a bracelet.
Among several artists that’ve asked concertgoers to stop assaulting their peers Adele called out the behavior during a recent show at her Las Vegas residency, stating:
“Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting fucking show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing shit on stage, have you seen them.” “I fucking dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll fucking kill you.”
