After completing his history-making Together, Together tour residency at London’s Wembley Stadium, Harry Styles was presented with a Guinness World Record on Saturday night (7.04)
Officially recognized with a Guinness World Record for the longest residency by a musician at London’s largest music venue during a single run, the British singer and his tour crew posed for a photo with Guinness World Records Adjudicator, Will Munford, and their official certificate.
In a statement about the presentation, Munford said “Record-breaking moments are rarely achieved alone, and this is a true example of what we mean when we say everyone can be part of it.” “We’re delighted to officially recognise this achievement and celebrate another major title for Harry.”
During the final show itself, Harry’s sister Gemma Styles made a surprise appearance on stage to congratulate her brother on his achievement.
After announcing an initial a six-night residency at the iconic UK venue, the superstar singer/songwriter added six additional shows due to popular demand, and thus overtook Taylor Swift’s eight Eras Tour shows and Coldplay’s 10 Music of the Spheres gigs.
It was in May that the 32-year old musician launched the Together, Together tour in Amsterdam, where he played 10 dates, prior to bringing the show to the 90,000 per night capacity Wembley Stadium on June 12.
Following his dozen UK shows, Harry will perform four concerts in Brazil, six gigs in Mexico, and then a whopping 30 dates at Madison Square Garden in New York, before wrapping up in Melbourne and Sydney in Australia in December.
The Together, Together tour is in support of his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
