After spending the night in a local emergency room, Halsey shared an update on her health.
Taking to her Instagram Stories account, the superstar singer-songwriter revealed that she’d spent the night in the ER while in Boston for two concerts.
Though the musician (born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) did not reveal the reason for her hospital visit, she assured all concerned that she was feeling better and would be performing her second Massachusetts show as scheduled, writing:
“Boston, I’m gonna be honest with ya, after the show last night I was in the ER till 6 this morning. Minor medical emergency but I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight! But if I’m pacing myself, that’s why!,” and thanking the medical team who took care of her, she called them “the absolute best team I’ve ever met”.
Transparent about their health struggles, it was in 2018, that the now 31-year old songstress confirmed her endometriosis diagnosis for which she received surgery. And in June of 2024, she revealed her 2022 Lupus SLE diagnosis, a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.
“Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life.” “After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to. I can’t wait to get back where I belong,” wrote Halsey.
It was in September of last year, the chanteuse was again hospitalized, this time after suffering a “very scary” seizure.
