Fugees’ Pras Hopes Trump Will Grant Pardon

Currently in prison awaiting sentencing for participating in a $100,000,000.00 extortion scheme, Pras Michel told TMZ he and his legal team hope he’ll be pardoned by Donald Trump.

The now 52-year old Fugees rapper said “It’s not a secret, you know, we working on a pardon.”

When asked if he had a message for the president of the United States, Michel talked about of his “love” for Trump, adding:

“At the end of the day, there’s always going to be love for any president, no matter what, and he’s the current president and you know, look to him.” “And all we can do is wish that, you know, wish the best for him and we all gotta play our part… so big up to him and everything he got going on and obviously I hope he turn an eye on me, obviously.” “It’s only been what, 60-something days whatever it is, so you know, we just gotta stand by him.”

It was in 2023 that the former Grammy award winner was tried and convicted for leading a multimillion-dollar foreign extortion scheme. And, following a three-week trial, the musician was found guilty of ten counts, including acting as an unregistered foreign government agent, and conspiracy.
