As the country music icon continues to recover from recent health issues, Dolly Parton‘s sister has asked fans for prayers.
Taking to social media, one of Dolly’s five siblings, Freida Parton posted on Facebook that she’s been praying for her sister, and implored others to join her, writing:
“Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.” “I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”
In more than 30 years, in September Parton postponed her first Las Vegas residency due to health challenges, joking, “It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
Prior to her Nevada hiatus, the now 79-year old music legend missed the announcement of the latest ride at her Dollywood theme park.
While Freida did not detail her sister’s specific health concerns, she shared elsewhere that Dolly has had an issue with kidney stones, stating “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly.” “We all love you!”
