On Sunday (3.01,) Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will perform during the Academy Awards where the two Wicked stars will to sing live during Hollywood’s biggest night.
Also taking the musical stage will be Doja Cat, Queen Latifah, Raye, and Blackpink’s Lisa, who is appearing as health guru Mook in this season of Mike White’s Emmy-winning TV series The White Lotus,
Unlike prior broadcasts, this year’s ceremony will not include live performances of the best original song nominees. Instead, the legendary show will spotlight the songwriters through personal reflections and behind-the-scenes insights from the creative teams behind the music.
On Monday (2.24,) the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 97th Oscars will also feature a special appearance from the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the organizers plan to “honor Los Angeles as a city of dreams, showcasing its beauty and resilience” in the wake of the wildfires that devastated the city in January.
Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the Academy Awards will air live on March 2, preempted by the red carpet arrivals that will start at 3.30pm local time at the Hollywood and Highland Centre in Los Angeles.
