More than seven years since Enrique Iglesias has enjoyed mega music chart recognition, the Hispanic superstar returns to the top 10 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart with his first collaboration with Maria Becerra.
Marking Iglesias’ first entry and top 10 since 2016 and his highest debut since 2013, “Así Es La Vida” comes in at #7.
What is Becerra’s second top 10 charter (following her 2022 bachata duet, “Te Espero” with Prince Royce,) the song along with its music video was released on September 28 via Sony Music Latin. Produced by Iglesias’ longtime collaborator, Carlos Paucar, the duet is the first single from Enrique’s forthcoming full length, Final Vol. 2.
“… Vida” is Iglesias’ 28th Top 10 tropical airplay charter, following his #9-peaking “Duele El Corazón,” featuring Wisin (2016,) and “El Perdón,” with Nicky Jam, that went Top 5 in 2015.
Not the first time the Latin heart throb has hit the chart with a bachata single, in 2014 Julio’s son scored his first such chart entry with “El Perdedor,” featuring Marco Antonio Solis.
With 13 collaborations to his credit (10 of which reached the top 10*) “Así Es La Vida” marks the singer’s first team-up with a female artist.
