On Sunday (9.14,) during her red carpet interview with E! News at the 2025 Emmy Awards, Reba McEntire said that she’s formally engaged to her ‘Happy’s Place’ co-star Rex Linn.
After she referred to the actor as her “fiancé” during the pre-television/movie interview, the now 70-year old country music superstar confirmed she is due to wed Linn.
Donning a black ring on her left ring finger during the awards ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, McEntire’s representative later confirmed the pair are, indeed, engaged.
Though Reba and Rex first met during the ’90s, the couple only began dating in 2020 after they reconnected during the Young Sheldon television comedy sitcom.
It was in 2024, that the Oklahoma-native hinted at fresh wedding plans when she revealed she would be open to marrying Linn should he propose, sharing:
“If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me.” “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”
Following previous marriages to rodeo champion Charlie Battles and her former manager Narvel Blackstock, this will be McEntire’s third trip down the aisle,
