Drake Drops ‘What Did I Miss’: Look + Listen

In the aftershock of his Kendrick Lamar beef, Drake addresses fake friends and broken loyalties on his new song “What Did I Miss?”

On Friday (7.04,) as part of a July 4th livestream dubbed “Iceman Episode One,” the superstar rapper dropped the title where he asks “Last time I looked to my right, you n—s was standing beside me / How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?”

While the track doesn’t specifically mention Lamar or any of this former pals, the rapper (born Aubrey Drake Graham) addresses Kendrick’s Juneteenth 2024 Pop Out concert in Los Angeles, where that rapper performed his Drake-dissing “Not Like Us” five times.

“I’m back in your city tonight, walkin’ around with my head high.” “I saw bro at the Pop Out with them but been dick riding gang since ‘Headlines.’” states Drake says on the track.

Though Drake does not identify who “bro” is, internet-onlookers assumed he was talking about NBA stars and Pop Out guests LeBron James and/or DeMar DeRozan, the latter of whom formerly played for Drake’s beloved Toronto Raptors.

Friday’s release was preempted by a livestream where Drake drove around Toronto in a van for a company called The Iceman — which, judging by its years-long social media activity, is an actual ice delivery service in Toronto — and talked about his love for the city and his fans (and even encountered one hater).
