Dr Dre Sells Back Catalogue For $250M

Reliable sources have revealed that Dr. Dre has reportedly secured a $250 million pay day in exchange for selling part of his back catalogue of music.

According to editors at Variety, sources have confirmed that the iconic Hip Hop rapper / Beats inventor recently signed an agreement with executives at Shamrock Holdings and Universal Music Group.

Born Andre Young, Dre’s catalogue sale will include artist royalties from two of his solo records as well as his share of royalties from when he was in the rap group N.W.A. (with Ice Cube, MC Ren, Eazy-E) and may also include producer royalties.

At press time representatives for Dr. Dre, Shamrock Holdings, and Universal Music Group have declined to comment on the report.
