Thirteen years since his last solo LP, Sean Love Combs took to social media with the news that The Love Album: Off the Grid will feature a star studded list of collaborators. To announce the album, Diddy released an Instagram video teaser featuring Bieber, 21 Savage, the Weeknd, Swae Lee, Jozzy, Mary J. Blige, Babyface, Yung Miami and DJ Khaled.
Now 53 years old, the superstar rapper/entrepreneur confirmed that the new full-length will drop on September 15. And the accompanying video followed him dancing with Kim Porter, the late mother of his children – “Why am I doing this? Especially with the success that I’ve had, especially where my life, how stressful and treacherous this music business is. My heart has been broken. I still have that question of, like, ‘Will I ever love again?’” along with the caption “I present to you my new album. The Love Album: Off The Grid September 15, 2023 R B is alive! LOVE #OTG.”
The video includes Combs dancing with his youngest daughter, 10-month-old Love Sean Combs, who he shares with Dana Tran, along with clips with Yung Miami from City Girls, with whom he’s been romantically involved since June 2022.
The 4:00 long trailer shows the musician dealing with the pressures of fame, his entertainment and business empire, and alone on a private island sans phone, and exercising as he deals with themes of physical, mental and emotional health and wellness.
