Daddy Yankees Sues Ex-Wife For $250M

Accusing her of financial mismanagement and defamation, Daddy Yankee has filed a $250,000,000 lawsuit against his ex-wife, Mireddys González.

According to the lawsuit, the Latin superstar (born Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez) accused his former spouse and her sister of negligently running two of his companies and engaging in a defamatory campaign against him.

“Mireddys and Ayeicha Gonzalez Castellanos continued to assume greater power than was permitted and together made reckless and selfish decisions that were detrimental to both the companies and Mr Ayala Rodriguez (Daddy Yankee),” the lawsuit states.

After the news broke, González, who is also the mother of the 49-year old musician’s two children, shared her feelings about her challenging situation on social media posting several images along with Bible verses, including “Stop having empathy for people who treat you badly,” and “Emotional attachment is a prison for the soul; it makes you see virtues that do not exist and hopes where there are none.”

Rodriguez married Gionzález, his high school sweetheart, in 1995 and in February it was announced that the pair had officially ended their nearly three-decade long marriage.

Rather than meeting in person, the Hispanic couple finalized their divorce on February 18 via a virtual hearing, with each of them present in their respective lawyers’ offices
