D4vd Targeted For Murder Probe

In connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, D4vd is now the target of a grand jury investigation.

After the teen’s remains were discovered in September of 2025, inside his black Tesla Model X that had been impounded in the Hollywood Hills, the musician ,born David Anthony Burke, emerged as a suspect

While charges have yet to be filed against the singer, since last November, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has been presenting evidence to a grand jury at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

According to a petition for attendance of an out-of-state witness, the prosecutor said D4vd “may be involved in the death of 14-year-old victim Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who may have been a victim of foul play”. The petition refers to the artist as a “target” aka an individual or entity for whom federal prosecutors have substantial evidence linking them to the commission of a crime, often indicating an indictment is imminent.

On August 26, a citizen reported an abandoned Tesla, and after the manager of a Hollywood tow company contacted the LAPD, Rivas Hernandez’s “severely decomposed, dismembered body” was found around 10:30 am on September 8, 2025. At the time, D4vd was on tour at the time the vehicle was impounded.

In November of last year, a police source exclusively told People that the musician was “not cooperating” with authorities and had not cooperated from the beginning of the investigation.
