In Sabrina Carpenter‘s new music video, Colman Domingo appears in full drag.
After the release of its lead single, ‘Manchild’ in June, on Friday (8.29,) the superstar singer/songwriter released Man’s Best Friend, her seventh studio LP.
Concurrent with the new album, Carpenter dropped a music video for her song ‘Tears, ‘ that sees her arriving at a harrowing house that transforms into a theatrical space filled with eccentric characters. Upon entering the property, the singer’s greeted by Domingo, dressed in a pinstripe ensemble with wavy hair and dramatic makeup.
Consisting of 12 titles, most of which are marked as explicit, Man’s Best Friend follows Sabrina’s 2024 album Short n’ Sweet.
During her recent CBS Mornings interview with Gayle King, the 26-year old hitmaker said “The album is not for any pearl clutchers.” “But I also think that even pearl clutchers can listen to an album like that in their own solitude and find something that makes them smirk and chuckle to themselves.”
Sabrina’s current repertoire comes shortly after it was revealed that she’s also featured on the title track of Taylor Swift’s upcoming 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, which is due out October 3. Carpenter is also scheduled to perform at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, alongside the likes of Post Malone, Doja Cat, and Tate McRae.
