Taking to Twitter, Coachella confirmed set times for the upcoming three-day festival along with Blink-182 joining the lineup, writing “Take off your pants and jacket.”
Marking the reunion of their original trio, Blink-182 will perform in the Sahara tent at the festival on Friday (4.14) at 6:45 p.m. and previously-unannounced James Blake will perform on Friday at 8:30 p.m. on the Do Lab stage.
After an eight year separation, last September Blink-182 announced that founding member Tom DeLonge was rejoining Mark Hoppus and Travis Baker to reform the original trio. The iconic rockers rescheduled their reunion tour for May 4 in St Paul (after the original March 11 trek start date was delayed due to Barker’s injured hand). The tour wraps the North American leg in Nashville on July 16 and the European leg will begin in September, ahead of an Australian stint in February of next year.
Announcing his departure in January 2015, DeLonge’s last Blink-182 gig was in Las Vegas on Oct. 11, 2014, before being replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba for several years.
Coachella 2023 runs from April 14 – 16 and April 21 – 23, and other artists on the Coachella lineup include Frank Ocean, Blackpink, Bad Bunny, Boygenius, Kali Uchis, and Pusha T, and the festival will be livestreamed in full across six separate YouTube feeds.
