Clive Davis’ Hospitalization

Almost a week after he was admitted to the hospital on Friday, (6.05,) Clive Davis is now back home recuperating.

Confirming the 94-year-old record producer’s health update, his spokesperson told People and TMZ, “Clive was discharged from the hospital earlier today. He is in good spirits and happy to be recuperating at home.”

According to TMZ, the music mogul was hospitalized after developing an upper respiratory infection and was admitted to the medical facility out of an abundance of caution and was expected to make a speedy recovery.

Not his first hospital stay, in 2021, the music executive postponed his annual pre-Grammys bash after being diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or muscle weakness on one side of the face.

Portrayed by Stanley Tucci in the 2022 biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Davis was famous for bringing the iconic songstress as well as Barry Manilow to prominence, and is also credited with signing Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd and Earth, Wind and Fire.

Throughout his career, the Arista / J Records founder has won five Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.
