Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty To Further UK Charges

Addressing two additional charges relating to an alleged UK nightclub attack, on Friday morning (7.11,) during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London, Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) as well as having an offensive weapon in a public place.

In June, the now 36-year old musician pleaded not guilty to the more serious charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH.) Brown’s co-defendant, U.S. musician Omololu Akinlolu, (pka Hoody Baby,) also pleaded not guilty to the same charge.

Each of the charges relate to allegations that the embattled singer/songwriter attacked music producer Abraham Diaw with a tequila bottle at Tape nightclub in London in February 2023.

Brown was initially arrested in Manchester on May 15 when he arrived in the U.K. for his Breezy Bowl tour, and was held in custody for almost a week before being released after paying a $6,700,000.00 security fee.

Brown launched the U.K. leg of his tour in Manchester, England just weeks after he was arrested in the city, and during his performance, he told the crowd, “Thank you for coming and supporting me. And thank you to the jail… It was really nice.”

Chris Brown is scheduled to perform in Miami on July 30, the court case will go to trial on October 26, 2026.
