During her final Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour show over the weekend, Cyndi Lauper was joined by Cher, Joni Mitchell, John Legend, and SZA.
On Saturday night (8.30,) after performing 69 concerts throughout the the world in 2025, the superstar singer-songwriter wrapped up her tour at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
During her swan song show, the legendary pop star invited Mitchell to join her for a version of her 2000 song ‘Carey,’ as the 81-year-old remained seated for the performance.
John Legend performed a rendition of Lauper’s 1983’s ‘Time After Time’ and SZA duetted with Cyndi on her classic 1986 song ‘True Colors.’
To conclude the star-studded show, Cyndi was joined by Cher for an energetic performance of her 1983 single, ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun.’ And as she took the stage, the artist (born Cheryl Sarkisian) said “This woman is one of the most famous modern artists of all, so there’s a new girl in town who wants to have some fun.”
Amid a fireworks display, the now 72-year old Lauper appeared to tear up as she thanked her dedicated fans for attending the concert, saying “Goodnight, get safe home, take care of each other… love you guys.” And confirming that she won’t be retiring after the tour concluded, Cyndi Lauper will be open to doing occasional performances.
