In addition to making her third SNL musical guest appearance on November 16, British pop singer Charli XCX served as host Saturday Night Live for the very first time.
Performing two tracks from her sixth and latest album Brat, the 32-year old singer/songwriter sang “360” and “Sympathy Is a Knife.”
Born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, the musician’s current LP was released this summer and has secured seven Grammy nominations including “360” for Best Record and Best Music Video. Including “Sympathy Is a Knife” featuring Ariana Grande, Charli XCX’s Brat remix came out in October.
Charli XCX’s last SNL appearance was in March of 2022, when she performed two new songs that would later appear on Crash, her prior full length.
Following two more British dates on her Brat tour, Charli will head to New Zealand and Australia in February, and in June she is co-headlining Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival with Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
