Chappell Roan Teases New LP

Superstar singer/songwriter Chappell Roan continues to drop hints about a forthcoming full length.

Posting a photo of herself holding her debut LP, The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, alongside a snapshot of her grasping a microphone in what appears to be a recording studio, the musician (born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz) took to Instagram with the caption “Album kinda popped off imo but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa.”

Not the first time the American artist hinted at new material, over the weekend, Chappell posted a series of Polaroid shots, with the words, “She Gets The Job Done” on each slide. She captioned the post, “This is a clue. Just let that sink in.”

In September, the now 26-year-old talked about how she had different sounds on the album she was working on, stating “We have a country song. We have a dancy song. We have one that’s really Eighties, and we have one that’s acoustic, and we have one that’s really organic, live-band, Seventies vibe. It’s super weird.”

Last week, producer Dan Nigro confirmed that he’d been working with the Roan in the studio and they had recorded five songs together. And talking about how fans should expect something different from the singer’s new music, he said there’s a “fun, up-tempo country song,” a “couple of ballads” and a “mid-tempo rock song,” adding “I’ll say that much. It’s a new version of Chappell.”
