Carrie Underwood’s Rock Project

Under the guidance of Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses, word has it that Carrie Underwood is working on a rock project.

Several times over the years the country music songstress has joined the iconic rockers onstage, most recently for a rendition of ‘Paradise City’ during their Saturday (9.19) concert at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

Taking to her Instagram account, the multi-Grammy award winning songstress posted pictures from the show with the caption “Yet another amazing show from Guns N’ Roses …this time in Atlanta at Truist Park!” “Thanks, Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Slash… and the whole crew for having us and for letting me try and keep up on stage! You are always so kind! Love you all forever!”

Performing Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit favorites, Underwood’s been turning heads with her takes on ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ by Guns and surprise nods to the nu-metal acts.

According to TMZ “Carrie has been working on new music, and it is nothing like what she is known for. We’re told the singer is being mentored by the Guns N’ Roses frontman as she dabbles in rock.”

In an interview with Audacy, the 43-year singer said she’s open to the idea of dabbling in rock, adding:

“You never really know with me. I never say never about anything. I feel like certain influences work their way into different songs and different moments, even if they’re not songs that I record.” “I grew up listening to everything. I do have an affinity for rock music and metal, and I just love the energy more than anything. I love going to rock concerts because it feels like freedom to me.”

Carrie’s connection with Guns ‘N Roses dates back to 2022, when she brought out Axl during her set at Stagecoach and also performed with the band at their London gig that year. And in 2024, Carrie teamed up with another rock band, Papa Roach, on the charity single ‘Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark).’
