Original Pussycat Dolls member Carmit Bachar confirmed that she was not invited to be part of the group’s upcoming reunion.
Earlier this month, three of the original six-piece line-up – including Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt – announced that they were reuniting for a 2026 world tour as well as dropping a new single, ‘Club Song.’
Revealing that she found out about the reunion at the same time as the public, Bachar took to Instagram with:
“I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public.” “Given my history with the brand, having been part of its foundation long before its commercial debut and instrumental in the connections that led to the record deal… I would have appreciated direct communication.”
Stating that while it was “disappointing on a personal level” to not be included as part of the reunion, Carmit remains “proud” of her role in The Pussycat Dolls’ legacy, adding:
“My intention in sharing this is not to create division, but to honor the truth and the fans who have supported us throughout the years. Transparency and respect are values I hold deeply.” “At this time, I am choosing to focus on my well-being and to move forward with positivity and purpose. I remain open-hearted about the future and grateful for the continued love and encouragement I receive.”
Although Carmit and original bandmate Jessica Sutta were set to embark on a reunion with Nicole, Ashley and Kimberly in 2020, the plan was cancelled due to the pandemic and a legal dispute between Nicole and the group’s founder Robin Antin, they ultimatelt reached a confidential settlement last year.
Due to health issues, Jessica revealed over the weekend that she was “never planning to return,” though she would have “appreciated a heads up” so she could be mentally prepared for the news.
Before heading to Europe in September, the amended lineup will kick off the PCD Forever tour in North America in June followed by nine dates in the U.K. and Ireland before wrapping with a night at London’s O2 Arena on October 13.
