Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band have just announced their 2023 world tour.
The superstar singer/songwriter and his iconic band will launch the trek with a North American arena tour in February, followed by a run of European stadium shows starting in April.
In a statement about next years jaunt Boss said:
“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year.” “And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”
Though specific US dates are not yet confirmed the European leg kicks off on April 28 in Barcelona, with other stops in Dublin, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Oslo, Copenhagen and Munich, with UK and Belgium show dates to be revealed.
The tour will mark Springsteen and the E Street Band’s first gigs together since they ended of the ‘River’ tour in Australia in 2017. Since then, the artist released ‘Western Stars’ (2019) and ‘Letter To You’ (2020,) returned to his ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ show and launched the ‘Renegades: Born in the USA’ podcast with Barack Obama.
While they’ve not toured since early-2017, their only public performance in recent years came in December 2020 when the group played ‘Saturday Night Live’ without musicians Garry Tallent and Soozie Tryell who missed out due to COVID-19 restrictions.
