The oldest of three brothers and sibling to the Oasis stars’ Noel and Liam Gallagher, Paul Gallagher has been charged with a series of offenses including rape, sexual assault, coercive control, bodily harm, threats to kill and three counts of intentional strangulation.
A deejay and photographer by trade, the charges against the elder Gallagher are said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, according to theThe Daily Telegraph.
London’s Metropolitan Police launched the probe in 2024, and a spokesperson confirmed that “a man has been charged with numerous acts – including rape, coercive control and sexual assault”.
“Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.” “A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.
While he’s never been involved with Oasis, Paul Gallagher grew up with his younger brothers in Burnage, Manchester, and released a 1997 book titled Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis, in which he described growing up with Liam and Noel, who are famous for their acrimonious relationship.
The charges against Paul Gallagher surfaced as the Oasis Live ’25 tour came to London last weekend, and Wednesday, August 27, he will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court
