After the mother and her child recently reunited, Britney Spears‘ son took to social media and changed his name.
Sharing a photo of the threesome posing together on a boat, it was in late-March, that the embattled singer wAS been spending more time with her sons Sean Preston (20,) and Jayden James (19.) who she shares with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
After posting the image on Instagram, Britney fans noticed that Sean appeared to have updated his handle to Sean P Spears, dropping his father’s surname, though he’s not publicly commented on the change.
The latest development follows reports that the musician was detained by the California Highway Patrol near her home on 5 March.
Shortly afterward she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in March, Spears returned to social media and thanked fans for their support during the difficult time, while also revealing she’d been reconnecting with her children after time apart, adding:
“Thank you guys for all your support… spending time with family and friends is such a blessing !!!” “Stay kind !!!”
A representative for the pop star told People that her two sons are “going to be spending time” with the hitmaker following her arrest. “Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.” “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” continued the spokesperson.
In 2007, after three years of marriage, Kevin was granted sole legal and physical custody of their sons following his divorce.
