Addressing several allegations made by her former husband Kevin Federline concerning his ex-wife and his fear for their sons, Sean Preston (20,) and Jayden James (19,) in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, Britney Spears‘ rep has spoken out on her behalf, stating:
In a statement shared with to E! News “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her,” “and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.” “All she cares about are her kids and their well-being during this sensationalism.”
In an excerpt published by The New York Times, Federline, to whom Spears was married from 2004 to 2007, wrote that “this situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible”. “From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour.” “Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”
Having reunited with Jayden in June, Britney previously shared that she’s done everything in her power to have a relationship with her sons, writing “There is nothing I love more, nothing more important to me on this earth, than my children. I’d lay down my life for them.”
