On Friday night (10.25,) prior to the first game of the 2025 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Brad Paisley stepped onto the baseball field to deliver the national anthem.
While playing his green electric guitar, the Grammy award winning musician performed a laid back version of the America’s theme song, as a massive American flag was stretched across the field.
A longtime Dodgers fan, this was the country music superstar’s fourth time singing the anthem at a World Series game.
In September, Paisley dropped his “Truck Still Works” single off his forthcoming 2025 full-length which will be his first album since 2017 and his first since moving from Sony Nashville’s Arista imprint to Universal Music Group Nashville’s EMI Records.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Paisley said “The project has some deeper things on it but, like the song itself, is really about creativity and nostalgia and you know the themes that you want to hear right now.” “Sometimes, like in these times, it’s great to give people something they just want to turn up and takes them to a place where they feel good.”
Ice Cube and Fat Joe are also set to perform at games 2 and 3 representing their respective hometowns.
