According to local sources Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg are to perform at the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games.
On Thursday (8.080), editors at Variety reported that the multi-Grammy award singer/songwriter and the hip-hop icon will be two of several musicians to be featured during the Sunday (8.11) finale of the multi-sport event staged at Paris’ Stade de France stadium.
Along with Eilish and Snoop, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will also appear at the Closing Ceremony, which will be dedicated to the handover of the Paris spectacle to the city of Los Angeles ahead of the next Summer Olympics in 2028.
According to reports the artists “will be seen from Los Angeles in a mix of pre-taped and live performances”.
H.E.R. previously confirmed that she will sing the U.S. National Anthem at the Closing Ceremony, with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass accepting the Olympic Torch and Tom Cruise is expected to perform an abseiling stunt for the crowd.
The Los Angeles Olympic Games are set to run from 14 July until 30 July 2028.
