During her Wednesday night (11.06) Nashville, Tennessee concert, Billie Eilish verbalized her support for her audience after Republican Party nominee Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election earlier in the day.
Calling the former president “someone who hates women” the superstar singer/songwriter added “Waking up this morning, I kinda couldn’t fathom doing a show on this day.” Visibly emotional, Billie told her fans “But.. the longer the day went on I kinda had this feeling of it’s such a privilege I get to do this with you guys and that we have this in a time that…” “I just love you so much and I want you to know that you’re safe with me. You’re protected here and you’re safe in this room.” “Someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be the President. This song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you.”
A song that chronicles “the abuse that exists in this world upon women,” during her mid-week show, the now 22-year old multi-Grammy award winner performed her 2021 track ‘Your Power.’
Taking to her TikTok vide account earlier this year, Eilish encouraged her American fans to vote for Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris, stating “Times are really scary and a lot is at stake.” “I know that if you’re in this room and you support me, you support women and I hope that you will vote for Kamala Harris.”
Billie’s 2018 single ‘When the Party’s Over’ was used in an advertisement by Harris’s campaign.
