Bieber + Steve Carell’s Benefit Hockey Game For Wildfire Relief

In a fundraiser to raise money for Los Angeles wildfire relief, Justin BieberSteve Carell, and Ross Lynch are among the celebrities who will take part in “Skate For LA Strong: A Celebration to Support the Fire Recovery Efforts in Los Angeles.”

Effective February 23 at the Crypto.com Arena, Will Ferrell, Snoop Dogg, Vince Vaughn, Danny DeVito and Cobie Smulders will also participate in the benefit hockey game as coaches from behind the bench.

Supported by such hockey legends Jeremy Roenick, Rob Blake, Mark Messier, Manon Rheaume, and Dany Heatley, and other athletes from other sports, and hockey-playing First Responders, the event will feature a four-team, single-elimination format, with the teams padded out.

No stranger to hockey, the Canadian-born Bieber participated in prior celebrity games including a significant t role at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto. And, like Justin, Carell’s puck skills were previously featured  The Office, and the actor also had a noteworthy hockey career playing goalie on the collegiate level.

During the Skate for LA Strong event, Kaskade, Jordan Davis, and Lauren Spencer-Smith will serve as musical guests with all proceeds going to the Red Cross, the LA Fire Foundation, Cal Fire Foundation and Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.

In a statement from the Los Angeles Kings, tickets to the event are free for “all Firefighters, First Responders, community group leaders, fire victims and their families as well as for Kings Season Tickets Members.”

The celebrity hockey gaem will air on ESPN2 and ESPN+ and fans can also watch it with a free trial to DirecTV Stream here.
