Releasing his second full length of the year, on Thursday (9.04,) Justin Bieber took to Instagram announced Swag II’s imminent release, by sharing photos of the pink album cover featured on billboards and landmarks throughout the world.
Not the first time the superstar singer/songwriter took fans by surprise, two months ago Justin dropped the first Swag LP features 21 songs vs the Swag II double album containing 44 songs with a 2 hours and 11 minute run time.
Featuring collaborations with the likes of Tems, Bakar, Hurricane Chris, Lil B, Eddie Benjamin, Gunna, Sexxy Red and the comedian Druski, the pop star first informed fans that the new collection would be available come midnight Friday. But when it didn’t materialize on streaming platforms, the public began to voice their frustration.
Addressing music consumer impatience in a series of Instagram posts, the 31-year old musician shared a text exchange in which he asked his manager where the album was, with the caption “It’s comingggggg (sic).”
Sympathizing with his fanbase, Bieber added “Me waiting with u, not baiting u not sure wut the f**kkyyy is going on clicking refreshhhhhh (sic).” “I’m sorry for the wait their (sic) telling me any second.”
At approximately one hour after midnight Pacific Coast time, Swag II finally appeared on streaming services, with Justin posting screen grabs of his album on each platform to prove it was finally live.
