Beyoncé + Nicole Kidman To Co-Chair Met Gala 2026

Leading the 2026 edition of the annual fashion spectacle and fundraiser, Beyoncé and Nicole Kidman will be the co-chairs of next year’s Met Gala and will be joined by tennis legend Venus Williams and Anna Wintour, the former editor-in-chief of Vogue, who traditionally oversees the star-studded event.

The forthcoming star-studded list comes just weeks after organizers confirmed that Costume Art will be next year’s Met Gala theme that will explore the relationship between clothing and the body beneath.

After wearing Givenchy Haute Couture on the iconic steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2016, 2026 will mark Beyoncé’s first appearance at the Met Gala in ten years.

Unlike the superstar songstress, Kidman and Williams have been regular fixtures at the gala over the years, including the 2025 Superfine-themed event.

Along with Nicole and Serena, Zoë Kravitz and designer Anthony Vaccarello will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala Host Committee along with Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham and more.

The all-female 2026 leadership lineup marks a shift from this year’s all-male co-host line-up for the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style theme, that featured A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams.

The 2026 theme marks an important moment for the Met and the Costume Institute as the accompanying exhibition, which will showcase both historic and modern designs, will be the first to be displayed in the museum’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries.

The 2026 Met Gala will be held on Monday, May 4 of 2026 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
