Benson Boone’s SNL Debut: Look + Listen

Performing two songs from his forthcoming LP, American Heart. singer-songwriter Benson Boone debuted on Saturday Night Live on May 3rd.

A former Billboard Top40 single, the now 22-year old’s first offering was “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else,”

For his second number, Boone returned to the stage with “Mystical Magical,” that he debuted at Coachella in April at which time he also performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” alongside Queen’s Brian May along his breakout hit “Beautiful Things.”

In a recent interview, the Washington-born entertainer told Rolling Stone that he’s excited to show that there’s more where “Beautiful Things” came from, stating:

“I think I’m getting to the point where I just want people to know that there’s more than just that song.” “I think I’m a little past that point. But of course I still love the song. I’m still proud of it. And I’ll be performing it for a while, so I hope that feeling sticks around.”

Following last year’s Fireworks & Rollerblades, Benson’s forthcoming full length American Heart is slated for a June 20 drop date.
