Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday (12.23,) Barbra Streisand praised Ariana Grande‘s “beautiful voice,” along with a photo of herself and the Wicked: For Good star posing together in a recording studio.
Gushing over Grande’s talent and work ethic, the 83-year old music icon captioned:
“Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent. She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more.” “She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful. I’m very proud of you Ariana and thanks for singing with me on my album… Big hug, Barbra.”
Congratulating the 32-year old songstress on hosting the 12.20 SNL Christmas episode, Barbra concluded “P.S. you were wonderful on Saturday Night Live and looked so pretty.”
Replying to Barbra’s salutations, Ariana replied:
“Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this kindest surprise today! You made my day, my year, my life!” “This means so much, coming from you. I just love you so. I miss you and I hope I get to hug you soon… all my love and appreciation. Thank you.”
Not their first interaction, the two mega-stars collaborated on Barbra’s ‘One Heart, One Voice’ for her LP, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, which dropped in June, and in 2019, the Ariana joined Barbra onstage in Chicago for a rendition of her 1979 hit, ‘No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).’
