Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Party

According to the artist himself, Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl performance will be a “huge party”.

Ready to headline this weekend’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, during his recent Apple Music Radio interview with hosts Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden, the 31-year old superstar gave fans an insight into what they can expect, stating:

“I just want people to have fun. It’s going to be a huge party, what people can always expect from me.” “Of course, a lot of my culture. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it’s going to be fun!”

Addressing his preparations for the show, the musician (born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) explained:

“I wake up, work out, [drink] my coffee, try not to think too much about it. I want to think that it’s just 13-minutes of doing something that I love.” “I’m trying to enjoy it. I know I’m going to have fun. Everyone is going to have fun that day. I’m trying not to put pressure.”

Having performed with Bad Bunny during her own Halftime Show back in 2020, and excited to see another Latin star appear on the biggest sporting stage, fellow Hispanic artist Shakira revealed that she’s “proud” of Bad Bunny for performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Speaking to Variety about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, Shakira said:

“It’s about time!” “I remember when we did ours that even having part of our set in Spanish was a bold move … Acceptance of Spanish-language music as part of the mainstream has come so far from when I started.” “I hope and like to think that all the times my music was met with resistance or puzzlement from the English-speaking world before it was embraced, helped forge the path to where we are now.” “And I’m so proud that Bad Bunny, who represents not only Latin culture but also how important Spanish language music has become on a global scale.”
