Ariana Grande’s latest live performance video series with Vevo just received an R-rating.
On Thursday (July 15), the international pop superstar released the fourth in a series of her Positions performance videos … this time featuring one of the album’s most provocative and profane tracks, “34+35.”
In her new video, Grande dances around the set as she sings the song’s off-color lyrics with a smile with her back up band moving to the rhythm. In the artist’s signature style, the lyrics are fast and furious and her voice is nothing short of outstanding throughout.
For those unclear as to what the song title infers, skip to the close of the video when Ariana puts it into simpler terms as she closes out the performance.
Executive produced by creative directors Micah Bickham and Ed Walker, the Republic Records-signed artist’s string of collaborations with Vevo finds the 28-year-old singing in the center of a custom fairyland-meets-nightclub setting, surrounded by a garden of neon flowers and lit by a color-changing light fixture hung from the ceiling.
The “34+35” visual follows Grande’s three prior live Vevo sponsored sessions of Positions tracks, including “POV,” “Safety Net” (featuring an appearance from Ty Dolla $ign), and “My Hair.” Though her next song choice is, as yet, unknown, the singer confirmed via Instagram that several more Vevo Live videos are en route. “Hang tight, there are three more coming…” she wrote, tagging Vevo.
