On Tuesday (4.28,) along with its cover art, Ariana Grande announced that Petal, her eighth studio album will drop on July 31.
In a formal statement, Grande described the upcoming collection as “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging”.
Have previously hinted that she was recording new music by posting photos of herself in the studio on April 8, in a recorded message on her official Brighter Days hotline, the superstar songstress stated:
“We just wanted to say thank you all so much to all of our loyal customers for making this last year together something we’ll never want to forget.” “Our staff here at Brighter Days are so looking forward to continuing our mission of bringing happiness and healing to as many as we can this summer in person.” “We’re counting down the 8s, oops! I mean, the days.”
After the release of Eternal Sunshine in 2024, in November of 2025 the 32-year old musician talked about wanting to take a break from releasing music to pursue acting more seriously. Framing her Eternal Sunshine Tour as her “last hurrah,” on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast shge said:
“I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time.” “So I’m going to give it my all. I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah. For now,’
