Born Richard D James, ‘Blackbox Life Recorder 21F’ was the first music Twin released in five years, and his first to chart in the British Top 100 since 1999.
In other UK chart news, Anarchic icons Sex Pistols occupy the remaining two places in the Top 3 with classic singles ‘Anarchy’ (#2) and ‘Holidays In The Sun’ (#3) following limited edition vinyl released earlier in the year.
The Rolling Stones’ ‘Angry’ (from their new record Hackney Diamonds LP) moves to #4 supported by the music video featuring Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney, contributing to The Stones first Top 40 English Official Singles Chart in 18 years.
Brand new 2023 releases to also make the list include Niall Horan’s Heaven (#10) and Meltdown (#26), Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’ (#13), Chase & Status, Bou, Flowdan, Irah, Trigga & Takura’s Top ‘Baddadan’ (#26), Alison Goldfrapp & Claptone’s ”Digging Depper’ (#23), Inhaler’s ‘Valentine’ (#24) and the Last Dinner Party’s ‘Nothing Matters’ (#35.)
