Alice Cooper Returns With New Single + Album: Look + Listen

Returning to his iconic rock roots, Alice Cooper preempts the release of ‘Road,’ his 22nd solo studio album, with the lead single, ‘I’m Alice.’

Reuniting with his longtime producer Bob Ezrin, and backed by his revered band – including Ryan Roxie [guitar], Chuck Garric [bass], Tommy Henrikson [guitar], Glen Sobel [drums], and Nita Strauss [guitar] – the now 75 year old, legendary shock musician returns with his first new music since his 2021 full length ‘Detroit Stories.’

A press release about the LP states “‘Road’ channels the spirit of old school Alice with instantly recognisable grit and plenty of gusto,” and about his new collection, Cooper said:

“For Road, I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs.” “I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”

Along with the music, the ‘I’m Alice’, video features the artist in his signature goth clown eyeliner as he declares himself: “The Master of Madness; the Sultan of Surprise…so don’t be afraid, just look into my eyes.”

Accompanied by a bonus DVD/Blu-ray of Alice’s full live show at Hellfest 2022, the new Alice Cooper LP will be released on August 25 and he is currently on tour with The Hollywood Vampires, his supergroup with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and Tommy from his own touring band.
