ABBA Makes First Appearance in 6 Years

On Thursday (5.26) ABBA made their first public appearance together in six years.

For the premiere of Voyage, their virtual concert series, legendary members Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad of the Swedish pop group walked the red carpet at the new ABBA Arena in London’s Olympic Park.

Bringing their biggest worldwide hits to the digital stage by performing as “ABBA-tars”, the virtual personas depict the group’s now elderly musicians as they looked in 1979.

ABBA’s Voyage full length marked the iconic quartet’s first release in four decades since The Visitor (1981), and became their highest-charting album ever, debuting at #2 on Billboard’s 200, in November of last year.

The ‘Dancing Queen’ hitmakers made their last public appearance as a foursome in 2016 for a performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of Björn and Benny’s friendship.
