Jane’s Addiction Fight On Stage: Look + Listen

After lead singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro during a concert in Boston on Friday night (9.13,) Jane’s Addiction apologized to fans and also cancelled their upcoming gig.

Taking to social media, the iconic rockers addressed the situation on Instagram with “We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night.” “As a result, we will be cancelling tomorrow night’s show at Bridgeport.”

Adding that all ticket holders would receive a full refund, they signed off with “Thank you, Jane’s Addiction.”

Claiming that the group’s frontman was upset by being “drowned out” by his guitarist playing too loud, Farrell’s wife. Etty Lau, explained why her husband attacked Navarro. “Rather than speculating, I thought to post a first-person account of what happened,” she wrote.

Lau added that Farrell had been struggling with “tinnitus and a sore throat every night” that was affecting his voice, and he “felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band”. “Tension and animosity between the band members” was not always a bad thing as it was also “the magic that made the band so dynamic”.
