The latest in an ever expanding list of lies, Donald Trump has falsely claimed that Taylor Swift has endorsed him for president in the upcoming 2024 election.
Suggesting that the superstar singer/songwriter and her fans were supporting his presidential bid, on Sunday (8.18) the felony-convicted Republican candidate took to his own Truth Social media platform to share a series of doctored up images of women wearing “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts,
In addition to the AI generated photos, Trumps post included a screenshot of a satirical news article claiming that Swift’s fans had turned to the former embattled president after her Eras tour shows in Vienna were cancelled due to a foiled terrorist attack. And another image showed the pop singer dressed as Uncle Sam with the text reading, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.” Trump captioned the post, “I accept!”
Taylor has yet to comment on the post nor has she endorsed a presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 election despite her support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris during the 2020 election. In May of that year she took to Twitter/X with her criticism of Trump, writing:
“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?””When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump.”
