“Your father had a big personality,” host Michele Norris probed. “And you found that you had a lot more siblings?”
“Yes, a lot of us. Apparently, he had 27 children,” replied Jennifer, who added that she’s not met them all, but “that’s what we were always told”. Explaining that out of the 11 girls and 17 boys, she ended up meeting six or seven of them along with the siblings she grew up with, Jason and Julia.
“We found quite a few of us,” she said, adding, “And I’m the youngest of all of them.”
At first, Jennifer was only aware of his two other shared children with her late mother, Darnell Donerson who, along with Jason were shot and killed inside their family’s Chicago home by Julia’s estranged husband, William Balfour, in October 2008.
