In response to her highly anticipated album, Normani has announced her long-awaited debut solo full length, ‘Dopamine’.
Taking to her social media account with the caption “cryingg typing this (right now). DOPAMINE THE ALBUM. (sic),” the former member of Fifth Harmony shared the cover art for her new release that features the artist flying on a giant black rocket in a vinyl chain bikini.
While there’s no specific release date as of yet, according to a countdown timer on her website – www.wheresthedamnalbum.com – it appears that Normani’s full length will drop in 2024.
After she ended her relationship with S10 Entertainment’s Brandon Silverstein in May of last year, in August the now 27-year-old star signed with a new management company,
A representative for the musician told Rolling Stone: “With new music on the horizon, and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership.” “She wishes Silverstein all the best.”
Explaining why the singer previously vowed not to release her new album until she feels ready, in a prior Today Show interview she said ‘Oh, well, she should’ve dropped her album during ‘Motivation’, which to everybody from an outside perspective seemed like the perfect time. But for me, I was just coming out of the group and I needed to figure out what I wanted my sound to sound like.” “I needed to figure out what I wanted to talk about and what was important to me. And I’ve had the time to do that. So this will really be an introduction to who I really am.”
